LEGAL MEMORANDUM BY ASSISTANT MINISTER OF JUSTICE, HONORABLE AUGUSTINE FAYAIAH – APRIL 14 2011
On April 14 2011, shortly after Liberty had won an historic landmark decision in the Civil Law Court of Liberia, the Assistant Minister of Justice, Cllr Augustine Fayaiah, wrote the following strongly worded Legal Memorandum in which he clearly pointed that Government of Liberia had no defense for the illegal actions undertaken by MLME and that the best course of action for the government was to attempt to settle with Liberty out of court – but the recalcitrant MLME executives nor any other members of government would heed the sound advice given by the Assistant Minister or the subsequent same advice given on several occasions by the Minister of Justice, honorable Michael Wilkins Wright.
